Stephanie has come so far in the last few months and it seems the last 3 weeks she has taken her workouts to a whole different level, unassisted pull ups, “filthy 50 as RXed, & and a new PR every time she lifts. She is very strong with great technique and is improving her flexibility, slowly, but deffinately improving. (I know how you feel.) Stephanie, for someone that swore they wanted nothing to do with CrossFit just a few months ago you sure are dedicated, I may even say that you have drank the kool-aid right along with the rest of us. Keep it up I look forward to seeing you continue to progress.

Any and all WODs that involve using my shoulders.
In 3 words or less describe your average day at CrossFit760.
Sweaty, intense, satisfying
What were you doing before CrossFit?
Training Muay Thai and messing around on weight machines.
How did you hear about CrossFit and/or CrossFit760?
My boyfriend got into CrossFit and trained with Casey at CrossFit by Overload. I witnessed several Saturday workouts up there and saw the CrossFit games at UCLA (Go Bruins!!!) last year. And by a stroke of luck, the same month I moved down to San Diego Casey was opening CrossFit760, so I signed up.
Give us some insight as to your thoughts after your first workout at CrossFit760.
Oh…My…G-d…. I hurt so bad…, how is it possible that I’m excited to come back tomorrow!?!?
Tell us a little about then vs. now. In regard to your fitness level
before you found CrossFit760 to now.
I thought I was in decent shape, but I was never consistent with my routine. I would workout when classes were in session, but when a vacation came along I would stop working out and get out of shape. So I was never really able to see significant results. But after 2.5 months of CrossFit I’m amazed at how my body looks and feels. It’s ridiculous how much I’ve improved, it’s empowering.
Do you have any special or favorite CrossFit760 memories/moments?
Watching my strength increase exponentially. Doing my first unassisted pull up!! Being able to touch my toes for the first time ever. Beating my boyfriend in a WOD. Dozer being able to work out with me (and it wasn’t long before he got stronger too and we needed a heavier kettlebell to weigh down his leash)
If you could make up any WOD for Casey to do, what would it be and why?
The Steph WOD:
20 Turkish get ups
30 dEad lifts
40 Pull ups
50 Hip extensions
It’s a combination of all the things I love and hate to do at CrossFit; And those are the feelings I experience every time I do a CrossFit workout, love and hate.
What advice would you give to someone just joining CrossFit 760?
Enjoy it! It is the best feeling in the world when you look back on the workout and see how much you’ve accomplished. Even if you think it’s too hard, you can always do it. And Casey will always be there watching over you while eating his snacks.
